1) Cloud-Based Reporting Accessible Worldwide:
As the platform is a web-based application, the dashboards are accessible from any desktop, tablet or mobile from anywhere in the world. Whether you’re on the road with a customer or sitting at home on the sofa, you can access the dashboards from anywhere with an internet connection.
Our connector is installed alongside the live Sage 50 data folder and uploads the files to the cloud every day at around 8pm. This upload then refreshes the visible data on your dashboard. Only one connector connection is needed per Sage 50 data set.
2) Unlimited Users & Controlling Permissions:
Cascade50 does not have any hidden fees or charges for adding additional users to access the platform. Adding new users only requires a simple email invite from within the platform. Only one connector is needed per Sage 50 data set which is set up by the original admin user.
Empower your whole team with access to the information they need to make improved decisions in one place. As an admin, you can also control which dashboards new users have access to. If one user leaves the company, you can easily remove their access under ‘People’.
You can add new users by pressing on “People” in your company’s drop-down option on the top bar and entering their email address by pressing “Add New”.
You can find out how to add new users by following the instructions in this article
3) Drill-Down Functionality:
Cascade50 also possesses Drill Down Functionalities.
What this means is that you can instantly "drill" into several layers behind the numbers by clicking and interacting with any of the graphs to instantly uncover how the dashboard numbers are put together. This saves hundreds of hours each year of running separate reports to uncover the answers to those all important questions.
In the P&L you can easily identify and sort your transactions enabling you to identify anomalies and rogue transactions faster than ever by simply right clicking and pressing "Show Transactions".
Example: If I am in a Management meeting and I need to find out why advertising is up, by the time I have found out the reason using a traditional report, the conversation may have already moved on. By simply right clicking and pressing "Show Transactions", I can instantly display and sort the data to uncover the answers to those all important questions right there and then.
You can also instantly drill into a customer’s individual data without having to run separate reports in the Sales Overview Dashboard. Right-click on any customer or figure and have instant access to its individual performance! Instantly visualise and navigate between individual customers ‘Credit Control’, ‘Sales’ & ‘Information’ with just a right-click.
4) Data Insights & Visualisations:
Cascade50 does not just upload your data to the cloud, the platform also transforms the Sage 50 data into insightful graphs and charts that enable you to instantly understand your business's performance. All these graphs are visualised to make the data accessible and accommodating to all users.
The goal is to remove the need for clunky excel spreadsheets or extensive worksheets, Cascade50 instantly extracts your Sage 50 data in a format that displays what is most important to you in your business. This is best illustrated on the Sales Overview dashboard. The platform has organised the data into bar charts that display those customers with increasing as well as decreasing sales over the chosen period. This insight enables us to instantly pinpoint the components of any variance, quickly and easily and indicates who my sales team should be calling. Drill into the detail to understand the variances and identify opportunities for improvement and to understand the key drivers for growth.
5) Check when your Sage data was last synced to Cascade50:
Every evening at around 8pm, Cascade50 syncs your Sage data to your dashboards. It is possible to check in-platform when this update last occurred and that the data you are seeing is the most up to date data set available. Hover over the button at the top of the dashboard to check when the dashboards were last synced.
If the dashboard appear to be outdated, please get in touch with our support department firstname.lastname@example.org.
6) Request New Customisations and Dashboards in Cascade50.
Using Cascade50’s custom dashboard service, you can request a bespoke dashboard or specific customisations or requirements. Customisations are developed on top of Cascade50's original filterable dashboards available out of the box. This is a service that has endless limitations and is charged based on developer time.
As long as the data is in Sage, it is something that we can build. For more information on pricing and a list of example dashboards, please get in touch email@example.com.
7) Advanced Date Comparisons:
Navigating through reports is faster than ever using Cascade50’s versatile date comparison tool. This is a powerful reporting feature that gives you the flexibility to analyse and compare any periods in the data set. Compare your figures from last week, month or year, it is simple and easy to compare any specific ranges in your data set.
For faster navigation we have also programmed in a range of preset date options such as: Week, Month, Quarter or Year to Date, Full Current Month and Last 12 Months. These options can be instantly compared and matched against the data from previous periods, or select any date range that you like.
Example: Let's say 2019 was a bad year for my business and I want to assess my 2020 sales figures against my last good year of 2018? By utilising this feature I can instantly compare and contrast any two date ranges to find the answers to this question without having to manually compare a number of separate Excel reports.
In order to select a specific date period on the sales overview, you can also drag and drop on the "Sales Over Time" graph. Simply click and drag the date bar across the months.
8) Filter Tool:
Use Cascade50’s filter bar to instantly split down the dashboard using a variety of criteria.
The power of this feature is best illustrated in the "Sales Overview" dashboard. Using the filter bar here you can split down the sales information by individual or multiple bespoke customers, products and product categories. You can truly customise exactly what criteria the dashboards are showing you. Most importantly you can also utilise the power of the analysis fields inside Sage 50. Cascade50 pulls these through and they can be accessed in the filter bar.
For more information on what these analysis fields are please take a look at some of our articles:
9) Instant Share:
Quickly share your dashboard view and applied filters with other Sage 50 users by using Cascade50's share feature. There is no need to constantly screenshot and forward on exact dates or filters, using the share feature Cascade50 will instantly apply those settings to your colleague's dashboard so they can see exactly what you are.
Simply click the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the platform and click the share option to share a link.
10) Full-Screen Mode:
Display your desired graph or chart on an enlarged screen. This is ideal for presentations, screenshots or just to get a closer look at the data. Click the three dots menu on any of the graphs and select the "Full Screen" option.
11) Turn Charts into Tables:
Not satisfied with a graph or chart? Turn the data back into the raw figures by selecting ‘Show Table’ in the three dots drop-down menu.
12) Export as a CSV:
You can easily make any of the graphs, charts or tables in Cascade50 Excel ready.
Display the data as a table by pressing "Show Table" in the three dots menu and then press ‘Export as CSV’. Cascade50 will then export out the table as a CSV file.
